Kent Strand Trio

Pianist/keyboardist Kent Strand has performed at the top clubs and hotels in the Bay Area. From 1988 to 1995 he performed as a solo pianist and with the jazz trio at the world-famous Compass Rose at the Westin St. Francis Hotel and at the Redwood Room at the Clift Hotel. He also performed regularly at Stars Restaurant, the Ritz Carlton San Francisco, the Palace Hotel and for many corporate and private events.

Kent is the Entertainment Director at San Francisco’s favorite nightclub, Harry Denton’s Starlight Room (HarryDenton.com) on the 21st floor of the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. Kent has provided all of the music and DJs since the room re-opened in 1995. He was the band leader and pianist with his group, The Starlight Orchestra, from 1995 to 2005, playing for over 1,500 nights. The band performed jazz , Latin, standards, Motown, Disco and R&B.

The Kent Strand Trio performed at the Cityscape Bar and Restaurant at the San Francisco Hilton for Sunday brunches from 1999 to 2007.
